2015 Combine: Mariota, Kaepernick and Wilson running the 40-yd

The NFL scouting combine is upon us for the 2015 season. Over 300 of the best college football players have been showing off all of their moves in an intense job interview. The combine lasts from Feb 17-23, 2015.

Let's take a look at what has happened so far.

Today the NFL posted a simulcam of Mariota, Kaepernick and Wilson running the 40-yd. Kaepernick's 40 is from 2011, Wilson's is from 2012, and Mariota, who is currently participating in the combine, ran it this morning.

What's so exciting about this video?

Kaepernick and Wilson are two of the best running quarterbacks in the league and Mariota just torched them, running at an impressive time of 4.52 seconds.(The fastest 40 was run by Chris Johnson in 2008 in 4.24 seconds)

If this is a preview of what's to come from Mariota, his draft stock is looking better by the seconds.

Industry chatter had Mariota being eyed by the NY Jets, but Tampa has the first pick in the 2015 NFL draft. And up until this point the thought was that Tampa was going to pick Jameis Winston, but since it's been Mariota's day, this may no longer be the case.
